Now offering opportunities to earn Student Service Learning (SSL) credit.
Students in most public school programs in Maryland are required to earn a total of 75 hours of SSL credits starting in Grade 6. It is possible to meet most of this requirement by helping out at RCS.
The classroom monitor position requires students to assist teachers by cleaning the classroom whiteboards after class and helping with setup and clean up at other times as directed by the teachers and RCS staff. Generally, the time commitment is about 30 minutes after class each week. It is easy to earn credits, and can be fun -- particularly if you work together with a friend!
